Sometimes I have a beautiful older puppy (6-12 months) that has been kept back to watch as a show prospect. If it is determined that it may not be suitable for the show ring, it will be placed as a well bred, family pet.

Occasionally I place a young adult (4-6 years) in an approved forever pet home with fantastic success. If you are looking for a more mature, crate trained house pet, please let me know now so I can contact you when one of my dogs become available.  Contact me for January 2010 adult placements.

In general, if you are looking for a well bred, healthy pet, it is best to try to find a local, reputable breeder who is affiliated with a recognized breed club, such as a local all-breed or national parent breed club. Seek references, take your time and DO use the Internet as a source for information - but beware! For every reputable and knowledgeable dog breeder, there are many who are decidedly not. You want a healthy, happy companion so please don't be in a hurry! A well bred dog is worth the time required to properly research and evaluate both the breed and the breeders you are considering. Most reputable breeders will require that you express your sincere interest with a reservation in advance, as their dogs are in higher in quality and demand. Be patient...good things come to those who wait!
